Milesg how many times do you need to be told that WMD was NOT the reason we went into Iraq. WMD, which may or may not have been there (nobody knew for sure) were only used an excuse for public consumption. A bit silly in retrospect but they probably did expect to find some, or maybe Saddam moved them all to Syria or maybe they are deeply buried and lost or maybe they have been given to Al Quaida or maybe maybe maybe. Point is nobody knows for sure.
Being a supporter of the War On Terror (I know you are not) I was in favour of invading Iraq as I think this is just the first step in sorting out the middle eastern countries which support muslim terrorists. And it seems to be working seeing what has happened with Gaddafi in Libya and some of the Saudis and even Iran and Syria are toning down their public support of terror now.
You really can't see the forest for the trees can you milesg. No ability to think or see beyond what you are fed by the mass media and politicians of your favourite persuation.
One thing I have learnt through 54 years on this planet is that things are rarely as they appear to be.
