Thanks Sabretoothed, appreciate the reply.
I see what you mean by the support of .25 on the weekly, and I have not looked at this greater time period. (A common prob for a common scalper!).
Certainly from a Darvas perspective this is a "bad" sign...
It is interesting to note though, that the bounce off 23 cents today does correspond to what appears to be a support level, going back to what I surmise is the IPO price in 1999, and retested (and broken) in the latter quarter of 2003.
I concede your point on the 200 period MA, too, this kinda timespan MA is out of my ken, as most of my success of late comes from volatile trading based on indices and commodities at the 5 minute chart level with the occassional foray into hourly charts if I'm feeling brave. However I have read of the power of the 200 period MA and am damned if I'll dismiss it.
Must run a 200 period MA at the current trading timespans I use and see what it says... ta for the tip.
I have only started moving back into trading stocks recently as my patience grows and I am more relaxed about time and price movement, as well as having more confidence in generating cash from the short term trading, so it is interesting to put said cash into longer term plans to take over the world.
Anyway, will be watching this with interest, and might possibly see if I'm smart enough to trade into a "free" parcel of CTO as a keeper.
Re the "someone's selling out of this one for some reason" point, I have a vague suspiscion (eek spelling) that someone is "Selling INTO" this. The 100000 parcels I mentioned earlier have been on both buy and sell side, and I have a "feeling" that "someone" is trying to drive price down to get themselves a bargain. The parcel size is too neat, and at the same time, a little patience would see the "seller" getting far greater value... I beleive that "they" could have stayed around the 27 cent mark and sold into the daily churn over a longer time period and got a far better price...
My opinion only, though.
Re you could be wrong... judging from past calls of yours, I'd be inclined to suggest that I am more likely to be wrong than yerself...
Anyway, must away before Sidr bites my bum for being a dirty chartist!
;)
