It's certainly correct that a patent does not automatically lead to FDA approval. However, what I absolutely love about this announcement is that the granting of the US patent (somewhat, but not completely) limits other companies from getting FDA approval for a similar product.
The announcement states that patent filings are ongoing in other territories, and the USPTO grant will lend weight to those filings, so we may see further announcements regarding those.
So far Painchek have zero competition in this space. I feel like I need to restate that....*zero* competition. This patent further reinforces the natural monopoly that Painchek currently enjoys, and raises the barrier to entry for any potential competitors.
This is why I am averaging up and buying many more PCK today.
