thank you ..some reasons why a company would consolidate capital have been listed as...tidy up the companies share capital...increase underlying share price to make them more attractive to investors...comply with regulations ,rules ….subject the stock to less speculation and manipulation.....increase the price of cheap share back into range of investment grade shares....investors look on company more favourably...…..I agree it only works in strong markets where it is a very strong company...yes of course we have the factors that ordinarily drive share price....
