Very appropriate in stating the obvious here IB. I think I know where you are goong here... there is now a bit of a catch-22 goong on.
On the ECT side NMDC has acted extremely unprofessionally if they have actually stayed what they did in the article, and tried to do a one-up on ECT by making an attempt at completely destroying their business. Short term win if it worked , but most astute businesspeople would see through this and the actual effect will be more probably anyone dealing with NMDC to question whether to associate with such a lack of misguided values.
In this situation it of course would be amazing to see NLC come out publicly and support ECT, and in the political world one government entity would relish in making another government entity look as foolish as NMDC already looks. But alas, that only works if it's internal! So instead, assisting a foreign partner to look good in this case is trumped by the political need to maintain a good relationship with a local, government entity, leaving no choice but to side with NMDC or just stay quiet. And so here we are.
I don't often give much credence to the barrage of pointless statements with little substance on this thread, but am glad I gave your astute point the benefit of the doubt that there may be something useful to think about behind it. In future if you could elaborate a bit more I think it would actually add value, keep it up!
