If we can mine DSO at the main zone with overburden of
approx 25m the removal cost is inexpensive and faster to do
than the road/benefication plant for arruwurra which
can be done simultaneously while we mine the DSO.
For an ore area of say 1500m by 300m would require a
pit no larger than 1600m by 400 m.It costs approx. $1.50
per m3 to remove overburden so this is
1600 x 400 x 25 x 1.50 = $24m
Assuming 5m average ore depth then ore tonnage is
1500 x 300 x 5 x 2(density) = 4.5 mt (1.5 years worth)
or at $400/t =$1,800m revenue. Overburden removal cost is $5.33/t of shipped ore.
