" We do not see much respect displayed for German soldiers killed in WW1 and WW2, and neither should we.
    "

Why not? They were just like our soldiers, fighting and dying for the lies and emotions their governments. Just watched Peter Jacksons doco from last year on WW1 and the soldiers over there has a LOT of respect for the German guys who they got to know after they surrendered here and there. People are people wherever you go and so are governments. If all the regular people of the world decided to not to have these deliberately provoked and totally unnecessary wars, how much better off would we all be? I often muse how society would be today if our best and bravest weren't killed off or damaged by the weakest and most contemptible 'leaders'?
