Short squeeze is happening alright. Here are some min-shorts from Citi that were burned causing Citi to cover on market for the holders of the shorts, ie. a forced BUY so Citi would not be out of pocket. That causes huge buying depending on how many took up the mini short product. There will be others mini shorts that will be in danger on report day and instos may be hunting for the stop loss trigger as the stop loss is pre-determined and public.
