My, you have some detailed knowledge of ucg ... I think you should knock on Cougar's door to offer your services (for a reasonable fee lol).

I dont recall now that Len was specifically talking about turbines when he mentioned the 150MW figure ... accepting your comments, it seems he may have been referring to the ability to supply sufficent syngas for power stations with an output of 150MW ... that being the case and assuming old power stations with "boilers" might be nowhere near as efficient as modern combined cycle operations, they could have been effectively operating ucg syngas reactors of sufficient capacity to run >>150MW with modern more efficient generating plant.

Someone in the presentation asked about the number of wells required for the project ... Len's answer was 50 to 60 (being 25 to 30 injection/extraction pairs I guess) ... but from my notes it is not clear whether he was referring to Stage 1 200MW or the nominated 400MW project.

Regarding what they might do with a 3 to 4 times greater JORC than they need for say 400MW ... well, a larger power plant is but one option isn't it?
