    Hi donna

Sunnybank is the place to go in Brissie for yum cha IMO.

There is the big restaurant in the main shopping centre (just out the door from the bakery) or there is another in the market place shopping centre (diagonally across the intersection from the main shopping centre). There is also another one between the KFC and the Coles shopping centre. All three do yum cha I believe.

The big restaurant is probably the go but you may need to get there before 12. Been a little while since I lived in that area but Sunnybank is still the little Taiwan of Brisbane and they do like their cantonese food (there also used to be a Taiwanese food court next to the market place shopping centre but yum cha is not a taiwanese idea). Note there is another restaurant next to KFC (coming from the city it is before KFC) but it caters for those wanting "Australian Chinese" food rather than authentic cantonese cuisine - you can tell by the relatively few ethnic chinese customers. You can get that type of food at just about any suburban chinese restaurant so it is not worth the travel.

Misty - the hussle and bustle and clatter and clutter is all part of the fun of yum cha IMO. Each to their own of course.
