Someone has to answer the queries and probably AD knows better than anyone else the score. If he is good at typing a brief reply would take 5 mins max. I don't see that as a big deal if AD is working 10+ hour days as I hope he is!!!! It's probably a welcome distraction from the day to day grind.
Many junior co. MD's are similarly freely available I have found. It may be that if shareholder queries are sparse they will happily respond to each one, but they will manage their responses in a different way if they get overwhelmed.
