Toronto exchange seems to swing hugely on positive news. ASX also seems to be bitter toward mining stocks related to the EV Commodities.

Looking at it objectively a lot of deals have called over in Chille, there just doesn’t seem to be much traction.

Fulin wanted to make batteries, Codelco wanted it to happen to go into the value add side of things - but didn’t have product (only the rights to it) that was wholesale GIVEN to them.

The top two producers were rightly aggrieved having the govt. come in and drive the commodity.

Codelco had no land, only rights to the resource, and the ability to export. Have they finally realised that if they want to participate they need to be fair and come to the table?

I see the announcement as great, potentially. The devil is in the detail. Whilst I’m positive I’m sceptical.

LPI have been quiet, now we know why. I would say discussions are well more advanced than a MOU, and have started working out the details already. I would be surprised if we don’t see advancement in the next three months.

I would say the the Liklyhood of Codelco issuing a COEN to LPI over the LPI land is remote - after all this is what Codelco bring to the table (along with export liscense and cash).

Will we see larger ponds from the get go? For me this is a three year hold. We have a MC of 80M and are still probably 3 years away from first production. Let’s not hope for SP appreciation in a week. Though there are a lot of people still underwater with CR in the 55c range. I am sceptical and I think appreciation of the SP will come when the government actually pony up. Let’s be honest - when has a government EVER moved fast or even at a pace to rival the private sector. PPP’s often take an age to get going. We are only at the first step - there will be government lawyers justifying their existence over the paperwork than total LPI employees, but we can all but hope.

This is why I don’t think there has been a huge response to the announcement. When we know the detail and they show us the money, then people may be impressed and convinced.
