When I look around it seems to me the older generations were happy to live in 2-3 bedroom boxes, fairly economically appointed. No huge mortgages there . .no can't see it!!
On the other hand, the younger you go in the buyer market the higher seems to be the standard of housing demanded, not to mention the 4WD gas guzzlers, power-eating home theatres and resaurant size kitchens, which by the way nobody seems to cook much in. And mega mortgages which you're bitching about. Get real
