The proposed pipeline will span 585km to connect gas from Galilee Energy Glenaras Gas Project near Longreach to Jemena's Queensland Gas Pipeline near Injune, north of Roma.

The $600 million project will also include two compressor stations, two mainline valves, and two scraper stations.

The announcement comes 18 months after Jemena signed a memorandum of understanding with Galilee Energy to fast-track the delivery of gas from the Galilee Basin to the east-coast domestic market.

Jemena's Executive General Manager of Gas Markets, Antoon Boey, said the pipeline would initially transport 200 terajoules of gas a day, although it may be designed with a larger diameter to accommodate greater future volumes.

My Take on the Revised Glenaras Pilot (DYOR)

We are concentrating on about half the area with 5 effective pumps.

Production well 14L boxed in and the system boils down to a 2 stage depressurisation system.

Initial report indicates that it is performing accordingly.

I have done a timeline on the previous pilot and taken a wild guess at the time to reach desorption pressure based on half the time for

Given that we are working with a much better drainage system that before, reaching desorption is a pretty well a given as are gas flows.

My tale is that the new pilot configuration will speed up reserve certification to match the Jemena timeline for potential FID
