They pay it, some pass all of it to the consumer, some pass on some. It all depends. I didn't explain it further as I was typing on the phone which is annoying enough.
The point is, your calculation is wrong and that the tariffs aren't paid by the Chinese, but by Americans, whether it be American businesses that import, and/or American consumers if they choose to pass it on.
