Mjp2, Ithink we all do better moving away from the politics and instead stay withinthe confines of scientific method. That said this is very hard to do since all involved generally take sides.

You say:"There are no limits placed on the temperature readings." The BOM says there are. Apart from the obvious example in my post how would you know differently? And what of the way it was recorded. You may have picked up that the BOM agreed that the -10.4C was confirmed but was then inserted into the database as -10.0C. Nothing that you say in your paragraph occurred in that post's example which is why you are being evasive. Also if you know what investigation took place please provide a link to that investigation. Your response is very generalist and discouraging.
Your second-to-lastparagraph ignores the example again since -10.4C was read and not insertedcorrectly into the database - nothing to do with flags.
