This slide from the diggers presentation feels like a tacit acknowledgment from management that they got the product mix wrong.
With H1 basket price of US $463/t - they are trying to move into coarse flake graphite and away from fines....and if we look at some prospective competition, it's easy to see why.
These are the expected operating margins for Graphex Mining (ASX:GPX) who are close to commencing mine build with financing, the only other ASX African Graphite Company who is even close to producing. See their expected margins with a much different flake size distribution and product mix to SYR. By chasing the coarse flake product their basket price and margins are much different.
