According to the local news report in China, South32, a subsidiary of BHP Limited (BHPB) recently offered manganese ore as September 2019 shipment meant for China at an unchanged price from August shipment.The price of Australian manganese ore lump with Mn being 45.5% (GEMCO grade) is US$5.97 per 1% of Mn and the price of fine ore with Mn being 48% is US$5.80.In the Chinese domestic market, whereas there are such factors for a price cut as (1) Price of domestic silicon manganese stops rising and (2) UMK, South Africa offered a price as September shipment at a lowered price, there are such factors for a price hike as (3) Port stock of imported manganese ore is 3.8 million tons, and shows a decreasing trend from June and (4) Price gap with South African semi-carbonate manganese ore is reduced, and the direction a price is goint to becomes uncertain.
