The steeper and steeper slide was the time to cover, especially if they had shorted in the week prior at or around 2.40 high!
Its exactly the time to strike when panic has set in.
If they are still holding short they will have to cover soon as div is coming up.
As someone said earlier, a short is a stored up buying position.
