    It's actually my response to rightwards (since you called me a leftard) like you who post rubbish here every day Johilo.
    Regarding running off-peak appliances it is both legal and actually encouraged by Ergon here in Queensland so gmt is talking a load of bull.
    They actually wrote to me last year suggesting I put my pool pump on an off-peak tariff to save on my power bill.
    But since I have solar and only run my pool pump during the day it costs me nothing to run anyway.
    And it's easy to do the wiring yourself...Bunnings has everything you need for about twenty dollars.
    May not be legal but who will ever know?
    Most of my friends do their own electrical and plumbing work, it's simple and easy.
    Why would you pay a tradie a hundred bucks an hour to do the same job?
    Have to be mad.
