If you want to talk about retirees and BCN then discuss how fantastic it is that Graham McGarry has built Kalgoorlies first retirement home and that is what he does with his money, unlike Directors of other companies.

If nothing else, investing in BCN is putting your money into local businesses in the Goldfields and supporting a person like Graham who is putting back into the community that he has been a big part of.

But to counter your point- here's what I can gurantee you about franking credits and retirees given that Abbott and Turnbull have both considered or introduced restrictions to the Howard / Costello alterations to the original Hawke / Keating impuations that Labor wanted to wind back to in the last election. Given the refund will cost tax payers $8 billion this year, growing at 30% from the previous year, the current govt will, at the very least, introduce a cap to these refunds ... 100% guarantee. At which stage the future unfranked dividends like BCN (most likely given their history) will become very attractive to retirees.
