The issue with blk wasnt just management but (and I was initially wrong on this, but a poster lead me down the right track, captain...) the deposit itself lends itself to being the higher end of the cost curve.
they have relatively high strip ratios for the next 2 years and the major part of their deposit requires intensive processing to achieve good recoveries.
they really need far larger scale or to start exploring additional deposits etc some sort of game changer to become a lower cost producer.
however in a rising gold environment they will benefit greatly as it's all direct to the bottom line.
