Yes, that’s always been the demo problem. And my current guess is that it CAN play music, etc, but in eg a Utube clip it wouldn’t sound any different through conventional speakers, etc, so no point in doing so really.
However it now seems pretty clear that the heavily patented AKP technology CAN play useable sound propogated by a means hitherto considered impossible in practical terms, as well as apparently capable of being made an order of magnitude lighter and smaller than all existing speakers, AND being able to be digitally programmed for unique directional and volume variability.
So when Danny and Co and the Fab finally get high volume manufacturing reliability sorted out, the only serious question remaining would seem to be cost vs capability - imho.
Meanwhile I’d expect that a number of those big potential customers who’ve signed NDAs and been clamouring for a year or so to test the chip(s) for their high volume commerciality will probably be starting to get some lab access in Tel Aviv about now....
