The usual commodity cycle : supply shortages + high expected growth in demand = high increasing prices = overinvestment in the sector = oversupply = low decreasing prices = underinvestment in the sector or even mine closures = supply shortages...etc (and the cycle repeats itself ad infinitum). Thue duration of each cycle differs. Imo the current one of oversupply wont last long (2021). Until then many investors will get badly burned in this sector.
