    Croc, if the only intended targets of ME's comm. were those with your knowledge of the company and the sector then I agree, no problem. Otherwise, I believe very poor delivery. Put your layman's goggles on and read it. If you want to promote yourself you don't put out a release with a headline talking down the value of your one product. We're not talking high level marketing, this is basic. If he wanted to address some of the content of the report, there are better ways to do this.

    I don't think it's the first clumsy call we've seen from management in terms of comms/PR. If these guys hope to play with the big boys they need media help.
