I work in finance, responsible lending has made a mockery of the industry, it absolves personal responsibility almost entirely and is even getting to the point they are requesting us to make mental health assessments of borrowers.
This is something that will impact banks bottom lines, so expect to see it wound back in some way shape or form once that starts to bite
