Yes, I've thought and on balance I've decided to go with the RBA, Parliamentary Committee and other eminent research over a newspaper (relevant to Australia).
Newspapers sell news, the more emotional and dramatic the better, in an Editor's mind I presume. It is not too difficult to find an enclave of any urban area and find financial stress above the average. While that is a terrible thing for those impacted individuals the rational policy making mind deals in aggregates.
