Thankyou for your candor, CO. I think if ANZ had their time again they would handle it very differently.
I think they got poor legal advice from the firm which they have since disposed of (Minters), but the damage (i.e. sell-off) had mostly taken place by the time they had realised they may not be on solid footing afterall. Now they probably feel they can't turn back and, coupled with all the different legal parties now involved, it looks like it will only be resolved through the courts.
A very sad state of affairs for all which could of, and should of, been avoided. I agree that SLA will come through this eventually.
