The more I listen to Coleman the more I wonder about this bloke?
He is now claiming that the PSC expiry will void any arbitration decision....is that right?
Didn't the psc expire in Feb and didn't WPL get an extension?
Can anyone imagine WPL not asking for another extension or are they just going to burn CNE, FAR and themselves for $600 + million?
Is that actually what he is suggesting?
Its what I'm hearing but no one could be that dull could they?

The government would run the risk of being dragged to arbitration if they failed to extend the PSC whilst an arbitration case was on going.....especially given its the process under the PSC by both CNE and FAR. Aimo

I don't think there is any evidence that the government were involved in that way KKW. I do think FAR would have run it past the government....but ultimately the PSC has a defined dispute process which FAR, are and have, followed.
Its actually farcical that Coleman can say the PSC expiry is an issue when it expired 6 months ago and was extended.
I think he said snooze you lose last time and look what happened....extension.
WPL maybe the operator but I believe the JV...ie CNE/FAR and the government have the votes to pass a JV vote.
Add to that I don't think CNE could finance this without borrowing....if arbitration is hampering that then they won't be in a position to FID either and the JV could vote to delay it IMO despite what WPL want.
I personally think Coleman sound less than convinced they have a PE win in the bag....
