To be fair to KRudd & Co I think they did commit to an emissions scheme before the election as Labour policy.

Having said that, it is going to kick Aussies in the guts right at the time the economy is struggling and world outlock is uncertain.

Reminds me of our removing tariffs on our manufactured goods whilst the overseas companies sat back and laughed, and decimated our manufacturing industries.
