of course ur brokers are suppose to ask u whether u want ur stocks lend. obviously the insto and fund managers and lending them at a price but then by price going down, do they get the blame? no they just say its the market and do they care? i dont think so cos they dont hold stocks in that fund. If they did they wont be lending the stocks at all. some superfunds are not lending shares anymore.

ie look at the banks and any top 200 companies, not many havent been hammered.
