But KK you are assuming that Trump gets what Trump wants. What I am saying is that Xi has outplayed him and now Trump will call XI and have to plead for a deal. XI may even decide that he would prefer to deal with someone whose signature actually means something.
And it may all be for nothing as while the trade deal seems to be hastening a recession, it is not the sole cause. Historically, recessions, like droughts come around every 7 or so years and no government has really found a formula to avoid them forever.
I think this time will be no different.
