I remember when the Muslim community invaded Melbourne and Sydney streets a little while back in protest of a youtube video mocking their prophet. The police took control of the situation in both cities and people were hurt and dosed with capsicum spray In my opinion, this is no different to what is happening in Hong Kong. Idealistic people taking over the streets causing disruption. Whether Hong Kong kids like it or not. They are Chinese and part of mainland China.
