Some MB observations: (and I am down 83% on this investment).
MB products are mis-priced. I visit the Barossa Valley facility regularly to get a feel for things. Sometimes I buy an ice-cream. That is about all us locals can afford. The MB facility caters for tourists, who will pay more for an experience. The products are demonstrably cheaper in Foodland at Nuriootpa, an observation not lost on many locals and presumably tourists too.
There are too many products. No company can afford to have an inventory of this size unless they are making sales. If so, great. If not, cull.
MB products are speciality items i.e. special occasion purchases. You would not normally whip out a copy of Choice before making a purchase. Just a 'feel good' moment.
Barossa locals view MB as a local 'hero' who shafted the promoters. They paid over the odds for her business: a general consensus.
MB, the business, was sold to take it to a new level. Seriously, nothing happened.
MB says, over drinks, upon questioned, that it is "a struggle". Says it all really.
