JCoure, I'm not sure I fully agree with you that "Coleman and WPL somehow always manage to win". My history viewing of them shows me such events as...

...He decided to walk away from James Price Point (after spending $1Billion) for Browse in 2013 - because of overall cost, and hounded by protesters
...in 2014 decided to walk away from Israel's Leviathan project as they couldn't get the project "partners" to agree on WPL's vision
...Decided to walk away from their hyped takeover of Oil Search in 2015
...Walked away from the floating FLNG option for Browse after failing with James Price Point
...With current plan for Browse (through Karratha LNG Plant), WPL are still struggling to get agreement with partners (though I expect this will come eventually)
...Has had to go alone on the Scarborough project (at least so far) as BHP doesn't want to take a slice of Pluto for processing (again the project I suspect will go ahead but not sure if it will be fully in WPL's favoured way)
...The great enigma of Sunrise in the Timor sea still sits idle after having been discovered in 1974. WPL cannot get parties to agree a way forward
...SNE - the so called "white noise" that just won't go quiet!!

Coleman seems to have a somewhat "demanding" nature about him, and imo he is not always particularly good at closing out on his 'visions'
