The contents of the email response from CFR would never be considered private or confidential. CFR know full well that many punters are hanging out for information, and that any communication will be shared with the public.
It's like those old movies from the 40s and 50s. A journalist asks the celebrity , "Just off the record sir, can you say..............?". The trusting celebrity replies, "Off the record then? Ok, here's the truth of the matter......blah, blah, spill, spill, spill".
It wouldn't happen today. They'd be exposed and published within hours. CFR won't give us a shred of anything that can't be sent to the ASX.
