Wow, I've been out for the afternoon & surprised at today's finish. As foundations have been higher than expect, are some getting concerned about the Tirrawarra, surely not.

So much coal with gas is good, as it proves hydrocarbons. However I seem to remember a paper which suggested that The Pedirka may not be mature enough or not be enough of a kitchen for oil to form. Although surely the oil shows would prove otherwise, or has that oil migrated from somewhere elsewhere?

Whatever Blamore's outcome, the company will certainly learn lots from this well.

    Sav-J,

"The permian tirrawarra has been the predominant target."

I'm not saying that you are wrong but could you give a link to somewhere that this is stated? All research I have read suggests that the poolowanna is the most likely oil play. Cheers. (ps. I bought another 20k of sla today)

    bhutos,

"but i thought the real targets were deeper? Otherwise, a drilling schedule 2500 deep?"

There are a noumber of targets. Probably 2 fair, 2 good. I think we have passed 1 fair & 1 good so far.

There's also an element of "seeing what's down deep" with this hole. ctp have also said that eventually it would be interesting to drill much deep in years to come.

    cheers
ps. 17c seems to low for ctp atm, imho
