Your friend has obviously not done his research and read all the PAR documentation available.
These documents largely remove the "iffyness" he mentions. There's plenty of data from different doctors, different patients etc that largely removes the subjective nature of this.
Someone struggles to move and is in pain.... Get's involved in PAR special access scheme or trial... pain reduction and massive increase in movement. Pretty clear it works.
Maybe your friend should stick with animals. Original post was pretty much downramping!
