What excites me is how huge IHL could become by addressing the sleep apnea market itself. I would still be invested in IHL if that’s all they were targeting, that’s how big we are talking. We have the clinical trial to get underway shortly as well as the Sleep Guardian device which many people have forgotten about - this is a billion dollar industry we are talking about. IHL could completely dominate this market with these two plays alone and justify a market cap in the hundreds of millions of dollars at the very least. When Dr Sud says he is excited at the opportunity and that he wants to be ‘front page and centre of it’ well that speaks for itself.

In terms of the future for IHL I think they are playing it perfectly. The big money will be made not in the cultivation of cannabis but in the extraction process (turning flower into oil) and getting that to market. We aren’t just talking about oils here but edibles, extracts, vapes, vape cartridges etc. In a few years supply will completely outstrip demand especially with the big pharmaceutical companies overseas in Canada and the UK dominating this space, it’s too costly here in Australia to grow and be competitive.

All about the retailers and the brands. The decision to create our own brand Incannex shows the company really is thinking about being a big player in the future. Thailand has just recently legalised medical cannabis, imagine in a few years if the rest of the Asian market opens up! We could be the Blackmores of the cannabis industry with Incannex. The stigma around cannabis is slowly shifting and we are only at the start of a potential trillion dollar global market by 2030 - we are a 15 billion dollar market globally now, please tell me if if there is a faster growing sector than cannabis.

Listening to an interview with Todd Harrison from CB1 Capital (these guys have quite a bit on the line in the cannabis industry), Canada, US and Australia are his 3 big plays that will dominate the industry in the years to come. He reckons you can pick up a ‘cheap’ cannabis play in Australia for a couple hundred mill! His words not mine, he is probably referring to someone like a BOT I’d say, but if he reckons that’s cheap then where the hell are we on that scale?

Having a powerful brand and getting 1 or 2 of these drugs to market potentially in the years to come you would think would put IHL in the top 2 or 3 cannabis companies in the country. It’s scary to put a valuation on it when you think of the potential - Dr Sud knows it that’s for sure!
