On test flow results on first frac on 6^th Feb 2019,Chief Executive Officer Francis Egan said

“We have also confirmed that the Bowland shale formationfractures in a way that, from US experience, is typical of an excellent shalegas reservoir. A complex fracture network was generated in the shale and sandinjected into the fractures has stayed in place during flow back. Also thenatural gas flowing to surface from the shale has a very high methane content,which means it could be delivered into the local gas grid for the benefit oflocal consumers with minimal processing required.

We have only partially tested this well, with just two out ofthe forty one stages installed along the horizontal section fractured fully asdesigned, and less than 14 per cent of the sand we had planned to inject intothe shale rock put in place. Nonetheless the natural gas still flowed back fromthe shale at a peak rate of over 200,000 standard cubic feet per day and astable rate of some 100,000 standard cubic feet per day.

Cuadrilla estimates that, when compared to a typical NorthAmerican 2.5km long producing horizontal shale gas well, with all of its stagesfractured as planned, the data indicates a potential initial flow rate range ofbetween 3 million and 8 million standard cubic feet per day.”

Converting Million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) to barrels oil per day (bbl/d) value in the flow rate units scale.

How many barrels oil per day are in 1 Million standard cubicfeet of gas per day? The answer is: 1 MMSCFD at 15°C equals 177,700 bbl/d

So,

3 mmscfd = 533,100 barrels of oil per day (equivalent)

8 mmscfd = 1,421,600 barrels of oil per day (equivalent)
