Yes they have the luxury with vertical integration and diversification to commit to a hydroxide plant.
On the other hand we did hear about lithium sulphur/-ide?
This would be as a precursor for solid state chemistries? Or a possible route to a refined lithia that fits in with chemical suppliers in the Katanga Zambian mining hub?
Albemarle has a spec sheet for it.........
Also, the EU indicate it as a precursor for SS battery chemistries.
Just wondering over my VB mug......... if, as @johnwightman https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/37354323/single suggests, committing to a hydroxide plant is too much commitment for a miner? Unless of course the LOM is seen as strategic for battery and industrial grade lithium hydroxide in any case?
