These days I can't recall how I was able to track down the kids most likely to be able to break into my car (a VW Beetle). There appeared to be so many who professed to me they certainly had this skill. On a Friday afternoon, last lesson, before final bell. However, a surprising number of volunteers were absolutely willing and able to leave their classroom and promised me that armed with a wire coathanger they could indeed perform this task. They did so. Very efficient they were too. I was most grateful.
Don't know why, but I had a few occasions of needing their services always on a Friday for the same reason. I could see those eager happy faces appearing at the windows of the portable as I approached their classroom again. They were hoping against hope that my keys were, yet again, locked inside the car and that they would be chosen for the task or at least be an audience for this procedure.
Mind you, I suspect the rubber around the window had become so damaged that it was probably not even worth locking my car into the future. My, these kids were just so helpful, don't you think? The way they loved to help a female in distress.
They went home straight away, no returning to class. Well, what would you reckon? lol Fair enough!
