I think the moderator was trying to act in your best interests. There are some idiots on this forum (even well meaning ones) - hell I might be one, given my failed expectations of OXR :). Only a matter of time before they posted on your thread. You don't need that kind of noise influencing you, in what is a serious matter.

It's a rough situation, IMO you should position yourself to be able to handle (survive) the worst case scenario. Ahh if only I knew what the worst case scenario was. As moderator suggested should seek professional advice if haven't already.
