I dont see what scientific research has to do with the loony left, or the loony right either. Scientific research won the cold war and got man to the moon. And what are we left with afterwards? That's right, revolutionising technologies. Some might think fighting global warming absurd, as some thought putting a man on the moon absurd, but who would object to the consequences of such actions? Contrast the possibilities of research with the consequences of the loony right's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yet some reckon any efforts against global warming are an economic black hole.
