Exactly, and this is why the global warming debate is so puerile. It is sad to see the politicians imagining agw a political problem, when it is really a technical problem. Develop a superior electric car or cheaper power source, and you wont need policy to change things.

A good start would be to divert $500 million earmarked for clean coal research into other research. How much of a black hole will this look when other technologies start delivering power more cheaply than dirty coal?
