I'd just like to add that takeover offer's can push the share price up many 100's of a percent. I've seen it before with Marathon (MTN). It went from $1 to $6 due to takeover offer's.

A takeover offer normally pushes the price up to what the perceived fair price would be depending on the value of the project. If MAK's share price was many dollars more then maybe it would only go up another 30 or so percent however that isn't the case at the moment so a takeover offer would be good news for the share price.

We don't have to accept the offer either unless it is unanimous with the directors as well.
