    I agree about the hypocrisy, but regardless, Norway is likely to be the first 100% EV country. While other countries will not be able to follow the same model, incentives ARE possible without oil billions.

    When there is a will there is a way. In Sweden, for example, we’ve moved taxes from EV to ICE. China is adopting a credit system that will (hopefully) flow down to buyers. Boris just said UK will be a leading EV country, so hopefully the EV here (I’m currently stationed in London) will be reviewed/incentivised (no idea how he will achieve this, but the will is there).

    Sweden, Finland, Denmark, doesn’t want to be left behind its neighbor (Norway). This is is the caskade effect that makes it important for a cashed up country to lead the way.

    IMO the real incentive is/should be the environment.. this is what I believe in, otherwise I wouldn’t be in LYC at all.
