G'day Tech,

Excellent topic, expected this thread to be several pages long by now. The fact that it is not is probably a reflection of the company being in "stealth mode" or whatever the latest wank weasel word is for hiding what it is you are up to. I could understand the need for secrecy if Akida was still just a design concept but the IP is (supposedly) available and Socionext are hopefully going to deliver sample chips before the jolly fat man breaks out his red suit.

What's the delay?

Taking a negative view, it could be anything from the whole company being a giant sham; or design flaws in Akida to absolute zero interest in the technology. Ongoing silence from the company can only add fuel to the fire and help build this list.

The only positive theory I've got at the moment (and it's not that strong) is a loose connection between our stealth mode, small number of employees and possible NDAs with early access customers. The idea being that early access customers are hiding behind a NDA and won't be disclosed until any revenue changes hands. On top of that we only have a handful of engineers to help integrate the Akida IP in to one or maybe two customers designs at any one time. Without the manpower in engineering there is no point in advertising/promoting the IP.

As I said it's not a strong theory and easily pulled apart but its the best I've got atm.
