Increased mud weight will also result in retarded gas flows into the well bore and by extension, into the drilling muds...actually reducing gas shows in the muds at surface.

    One cancels out the other.

The simple fact is they are getting gradually increading has readings as the approach the Tirrawarra oil target...they also had oil shows a little further up, although non conclusive.

The fact the Purni Formation is much thicker than anticipated, adds weight to the likelihood of effective seal...IF...hydrocarbons are present below.

The elevatd gas readings can be ttributed to the coal seams...BUT, we have had these all the way down and the lower zones are showing the highest readings.

So...if we had oil and gas below, we would fully expect some form of "halo" effect to be present in the formatons just above our target, typically in the form of scattered oil shows and/or elevated gas readings.

    We clearly have this.
Importantly, we are getting this in otherwise non-host material, which is much better than getting such readings in host.

However...getting such readings does not mean we have something below...it does however add to the scneario one would expect if there was.

For me, today's announcement was a reason to buy for a last minute entry just before news...so I have topped up existing holdings.

    Good luck all.

    Cheers!
