We are all imperfect, but then, by what standard? God's standard is unknowable, so what is there to compare ourselves with? Jesus is not God. The death of Jesus is one more example of the utter intolerance of religion. The orthodox religions in the age of Jesus were the catalyst for His death and Jesus died because He placed His mission before Himself. Much like all the Prophets before and after Jesus.

The Divine nature and the human nature have never been seperate. The human spirit is composed of the same nature as God, this is our immortal aspect.

Good luck uniting with Jesus, because the irony is that nobody in this age has much of a clue how to be one with Christ. It's all religious theatre performed in tens-of-thousands of Christian religions and sects, all vying for the holy dollar and having some degree of contempt for each other.

We do have a choice, but it's anything but simple. What the vast majority think is the Christian path to God, is really somebody else's mistakes to follow.

The whole religion thing is an irony in itself, because its goal is to increase morality, honesty, universal love. It's been around for as long as humans have existed. It is as dominant today as ever and yet look at the state of the world. You would have to conclude that religion has never been embraced in any way other than superficially. Just like joining the golf club.

People love the words, they love the spiritual feeling, the idea of being good, but it just doesn't work in practice.
